Student Ambassador

Our Student Ambassadors walks University Hill distributing weekly door hangers regarding Boulder laws, ordinances, and important information.

When you violate a Boulder law, CU knows

When a student receives a ticket in the city of Boulder for a variety of offenses, CU receives notification through the Boulder Municipal Court.  Our Community Outreach Specialist will send an email to the student letting them know what to expect in their upcoming court date.

If you have questions about what to expect in court email CommunityOutreachSpecialist@colorado.edu.  If you have questions about your specific case you should contact Student Legal Services.

Some students may be sent to a workshop taught by our Community Outreach Specialist, by the Boulder Municipal Court or through CURJ.  This workshop was created to help students know and understand city ordinances that are commonly violated by college students so they can better avoid these violations.

Ordinances covered include:

  • Noise
  • Party related ordinances
  • Trash
  • Snow removal
  • Lawn care
  • Fake IDs
  • False reporting
  • Assault
  • Obstructing or resisting an officer
